Retail therapy

Linguarama was able to assist a leading retail company that needed to improve cross border co-operation between team members based in two European countries. They wanted to understand how far their operational difficulties arose from cultural differences and to consider what strategies and practical steps they could take to build good relations and work together efficiently.


Linguarama ran initial courses in each country on developing awareness of the other country’s cultural values and approaches to everyday working. Then all the participants were brought together to analyse and appreciate their differences and to plan how to work more effectively together.


The feedback from the participants confirmed that the training had been successful in minimising misunderstandings and maximising the benefits of working in a cross border team.
