Linguarama The Hague - effective language courses in English, Dutch and all other languages.

The Hague (pop. 450.000) is the political power centre of the Kingdom of the Netherlands; it is the seat of Crown, Parliament and Government. It is a predominantly 'white-collar' city that offers many cultural and historical sights including museums, art galleries and royal palaces, enabling students to combine their language course with a varied and interesting social programme. It is a quiet and stately city, with parks and the beach and dunes nearby.

Many international institutions, embassies and multinational companies are based in this royal city. The Hague is home to: the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons, a branch of the United Nations Environment Programme, the headquarters of the European Union police force Europol and many other international organisations, such as the International Court of Justice, the Permanent Court of Arbitration, the International Criminal Court.

Since 1995, The Hague has had a new landmark in the shape of the new City Hall ('Stadhuis'), public library and municipal archives, located right in the heart of the city among the department stores, offices and theatres. Its central position, open character and the many public functions it accommodates mean the white City Hall, designed by the American architect Richard Meier, has really come to belong to the citizens of The Hague.
