Situated in the north of Germany, Hamburg is just a short drive away from the North Sea and Baltic coasts. The city is dominated by its port and the central lake, and is crossed by the Elbe and Alster rivers, as well as numerous canals. In fact, Hamburg has more bridges than Venice and Amsterdam combined. With its many parks and pleasant leafy neighbourhoods, it is easy to forget you are in a large city.
Hamburg is also renowned as one of the leading cultural centres in Germany, with a large number of theatres, cinemas, and restaurants to choose from. As home of the infamous Reeperbahn, Hamburg also has a happening nightlife with thriving club and music scenes. The city's long history is evident in its architecture, with highlights such as the Renaissance-style Rathaus. Excellent shopping opportunities abound, and the open air markets, including the famous fish market, are unmissable.
The school is situated in the business and historical quarter of the city, only three minutes walk from one of the major shopping areas and 10 minutes from the Alster lake. Our rooms are in a beautiful hanseatic, Art Nouveau-style building, dating from the early 1900's, which was completely refurbished in 1990.
